Do I need prior experience?
No — most first-timers found it approachable. A guided session typically started with a short on-land briefing, and a guide stayed with the group the whole way through. Dubai's morning water is calm and beginner-friendly, and most people were standing and paddling within minutes.
Who can join? Is there an age limit?
Almost everyone. Ages 8 and up was the general guidance (children paddled with an adult), and basic swimming ability was required. Life vests were provided and worn on every session. Women-only and private group sessions were available on request.
What should I bring, and what's provided?
A guided session typically provided the board, paddle, leash, life vest, and instruction. Bring swimwear or clothes you don't mind getting wet, a towel, sunscreen, and water. A change of clothes is handy, and phones/valuables could be kept safe on shore.
